Pets can't talk to us. Routine exams can help to identify and treat problems early in their course to ensure a long and healthy life.

Vaccinations help to protect your pets from diseases and serious illness. We tailor vaccine recommendations and schedules to each patient depending on their health and exposure, and offer titer testing as well. 

We offer exotic and pocket pet appointments, whether it be a general exam and to discuss husbandry or health problems. We unfortunately do not offer avian medicine at this time with the exception of chickens.

Spay/Neuter surgery is recommended for several reasons in addition to reproductive control. This can include behavior, and risk reduction for certain cancers and illnesses, and age recommendations will vary by breed - it's not one size fits all!

We offer comprehensive oral health assessment and treatments. This includes oral exams, dental radiographs, dental cleanings, and extractions if necessary. We also offer referral to Board Certified Dental Specialists for more advanced procedures like root canals and dental implants if indicated.

We offer some orthopedic surgeries including TPLOs (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy), FHOs (femoral head ostectomy) and some fracture repairs. These and more complicated surgeries can also be referred off to Board Certified Surgeon Specialists as well.

We are able to offer a wide range of soft tissue and abdominal surgeries including mass removals, exploratory abdominal surgery and more. Critical patients and more complex surgeries are referred to Board Certified Specialists for more advanced care where required or preferred. 

After surgery or injury, we can help formulate a rehabilitation program to ensure optimal recovery and strength recovery and minimize pain.

We can run initial bloodwork, urine testing, and cytology in house for immediate results. Where additional testing is required we send samples out to a reference laboratory for further results. 

We have an in house digital x-ray machine to get immediate images. We review the radiographs right away, and in some cases we will recommend to have a radiologist specialist review the images when things are not clear. 

Ultrasound provides non-invasive imaging of soft tissues. We have an ultrasound machine to improve safety of sample collections and for urgent care, as well as can offer specialist referral for more advanced scanning as required. 

We can discuss behavioral issues and help to manage them through a combination of training, supplements, medications, or referral to trainers or behaviorist specialists.

We can offer advice on recommend preventative vaccines or treatments should you plan to travel with your pet, as well as fill out any required paperwork or testing. Depending on the method of travel, travel medications may be of benefit to reduce the stress of travel.

Saying goodbye is difficult. We offer counselling services to help you make the right choice for your animal and your family. You will work with one of our veterinarians in a private space where we ensure you have all the information you need to make the best choice for your pet. 

We also coordinate cremation services of your choice to make this process as straightforward and dignified as possible.
